How I can help
I can help with a wide range of issues affecting your wellbeing, confidence, relationships and quality of life.
Some of the areas I can help with include:
How we can work together
Many clients benefit from a blend of coaching, hypnotherapy and mindfulness rather than a single approach.
Every person is different, so I tailor sessions to your individual needs, drawing on different techniques and approaches to create the support that feels most appropriate for you at that time.
Below is a little more information about each of the ways we can work together.
Weight Management
Tired of the cycle of dieting, losing weight, and finding it creeps back again?
The truth is, lasting change is rarely about willpower. Our eating habits are often linked to stress, emotions, comfort, routines, and subconscious patterns that have developed over many years.
Using hypnotherapy, coaching and behaviour change approaches, I help you understand what's really driving your relationship with food and gently create healthier habits that feel natural and sustainable.
Together we can work on:
• Emotional eating
• Breaking unhelpful habits and patterns
• Confidence and self-belief
• Body image and self-acceptance
• Stress-related eating
• Building a healthier relationship with food
This isn't about strict diets or deprivation. It's about creating lasting change and feeling more comfortable in yourself.
Stop Smoking
Ready to become a non-smoker?
Stopping smoking isn't just about breaking a physical habit. Smoking often becomes linked to stress relief, routines, rewards and everyday situations, making it much harder to quit through willpower alone.
Using hypnotherapy, NLP and coaching techniques, I help you break the psychological connection to smoking, so becoming a non-smoker feels natural and achievable.
Together we can work on:
• Breaking smoking habits and triggers
• Letting go of cravings and urges
• Building confidence as a non-smoker
• Managing stress without cigarettes
• Creating lasting change
Investment: £150
This is a personalised one-off session lasting approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours, available online or face-to-face. If needed, a booster session is included within 6 months to help reinforce your success.
Success is greatest when you're ready to stop smoking and committed to becoming a non-smoker.
Phobias and Anxiety
You don't have to keep living around your fears.
Whether it's a specific phobia, anxiety, worry or fear of certain situations, these responses often feel automatic and out of proportion, even when you know there's no real danger. That's because they are driven by patterns in the subconscious mind and nervous system, not logic.
Using hypnotherapy, NLP, CBT, EFT and coaching techniques, I help you gently change those patterns so you can feel calmer, more confident and more in control.
Together we can work on:
• Specific phobias and fears
• Fear of flying, driving, needles, spiders or heights
• Social anxiety and fear of judgement
• Performance anxiety and public speaking
• Medical and dental phobias
• General anxiety, stress and worry
This is a safe and supportive process that works at your pace. Many specific phobias can improve within just a few sessions, helping you feel freer and more able to live your life without fear holding you back.
Pain Management
Pain Management
Living with pain can be exhausting.
When pain has been present for a long time, it can begin to affect every part of life, impacting your mood, confidence, sleep, relationships and ability to do the things you enjoy.
While pain is always real, we now know that the brain and nervous system play an important role in how pain is experienced. Stress, anxiety, fear, frustration and our emotional response to pain can all influence how intense it feels.
Using hypnotherapy, mindfulness and coaching approaches, I help you develop a different relationship with pain, reduce stress and tension, and support your body's natural ability to relax and heal.
Together we can work on:
• Persistent or chronic pain
• Managing flare ups and setbacks
• Stress and tension associated with pain
• Improving sleep and relaxation
• Building confidence and resilience
• Reducing fear and anxiety around pain
• Improving quality of life
This work is not about suggesting that pain is "all in your head" or replacing medical treatment. Instead, it focuses on helping you manage the physical and emotional impact of pain more effectively, so it has less control over your life.
Pain management works particularly well alongside appropriate medical care and other healthcare support.
Confidence and Self-Esteem
Many people struggle with self doubt, overthinking, fear of judgement or feeling like they're not good enough, even when they appear confident on the outside.
Using hypnotherapy, coaching, NLP, CBT, EFT and mindfulness, I help you change the patterns that may be holding you back and build greater confidence from the inside out.
Together we can work on:
• Low confidence and self esteem
• Self doubt and overthinking
• Fear of failure or judgement
• Imposter syndrome
• People pleasing and difficulty setting boundaries
• Public speaking and presentation confidence
• Rebuilding confidence after setbacks
This isn't about becoming a different person or pretending to be confident until you believe it. It's about working with the subconscious mind to change the beliefs, patterns and habits that may be holding you back, helping confidence feel natural, authentic and lasting.
Sports Performance
Sometimes the biggest obstacle to performance isn't physical ability, it's what's happening in your mind.
You know you can do it. You've done it before in training, practice or competition. But when it matters most, doubt creeps in, confidence disappears, you overthink, become tense, or find yourself performing below your potential.
For many people, the anxiety doesn't start at the event itself. It can begin days, or even weeks, beforehand. You find yourself worrying about what might happen, imagining things going wrong, replaying previous performances, or putting pressure on yourself to succeed.
By the time the event arrives, you're already mentally and emotionally exhausted. The energy that could be spent focusing on performance has been used up by worry, self doubt and anticipation.
Performance anxiety affects athletes at all levels, from recreational sport through to elite competition. The pressure to perform, fear of failure, self doubt and negative experiences can all interfere with your ability to perform naturally and confidently.
Using hypnotherapy, coaching, NLP and mindfulness, I help you develop the mindset, confidence and mental resilience needed to perform at your best when it matters most.
Together we can work on:
• Performance anxiety
• Competition nerves
• Confidence and self belief
• Fear of failure or making mistakes
• Overthinking during performance
• Returning to sport after injury or setbacks
• Focus and concentration
• Mental preparation and visualisation
• Public performance and pressure situations
The goal isn't to remove nerves completely. A certain level of nerves can actually help performance. Instead, we work on helping you feel calmer, more focused and more confident so you can trust your training, trust your abilities and perform more naturally.
Whether you're preparing for a competition, returning after injury, working towards a specific goal, or simply wanting to enjoy your sport more, support can be tailored to your individual needs.
Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a safe, natural and relaxing way of working with the subconscious mind to create positive change.
Many people are surprised to learn that hypnosis isn't about losing control or being made to do something against your will. In fact, you remain aware throughout the process and cannot be made to do anything that doesn't feel right to you.
The hypnotic state is something we naturally experience every day. You may have noticed it when you're completely absorbed in a book, driving a familiar route and arriving without remembering every detail of the journey, or becoming so engrossed in a film that you lose track of time.
During hypnosis, most people experience a pleasant state of focused relaxation. Some describe it as feeling dreamlike, deeply relaxed, or similar to that moment just before falling asleep, while still being aware of what is being said.
This relaxed state allows us to communicate more effectively with the subconscious mind, where many of our habits, beliefs, emotional responses and automatic patterns are stored. When the conscious mind becomes quieter, we become more open and receptive to positive suggestions, helping new ways of thinking, feeling and behaving begin to feel more natural.
Hypnotherapy can be used to support a wide range of issues, including confidence, anxiety, habits, stress, performance, relationships and wellbeing.
Every session is tailored to you, combining hypnotherapy with coaching, mindfulness and other evidence informed approaches where appropriate to create the support that best meets your needs.
Life Coaching
Sometimes you know something needs to change, but you're not quite sure what that change looks like or how to get there.
Life coaching is a forward focused process designed to help you gain clarity, build confidence, overcome obstacles and take meaningful action towards the life you want. Whether you're feeling stuck, facing a big decision, navigating a life transition, or simply want more from life, coaching can help you move forward with greater purpose and direction.
Life coaching is not counselling or therapy. Rather than focusing on the past, coaching focuses on where you are now, where you want to be, and the steps needed to help you get there.
Together we can work on:
• Life transitions and change
• Confidence and self belief
• Career and work related decisions
• Goal setting and motivation
• Relationships and communication
• Creating balance and fulfilment
• Overcoming self doubt and limiting beliefs
• Personal growth and development
My coaching approach is supportive, practical and tailored to you. Together we'll explore what you really want, identify what's getting in the way, and create a clear path forward that feels achievable and aligned with who you are.
While coaching principles are naturally woven into many of my hypnotherapy sessions, I also offer standalone life coaching sessions for those who would prefer a coaching only approach.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness is the practice of bringing your attention back to the present moment with curiosity, awareness and without judgement.
Many of us spend much of our lives caught up in thoughts about the past or worrying about the future. We tell ourselves that we'll be happy when we achieve a goal, find the right relationship, buy the house, get the promotion, or when life finally looks the way we think it should.
So much of life can be spent wishing things were different, replaying what has happened, or waiting for something outside of ourselves to finally make us happy.
The problem is that when we're constantly focused on what has happened or what might happen next, we miss the life that is happening right now.
Mindfulness helps us step out of autopilot and reconnect with the present moment. By learning to become more aware of our thoughts, emotions and experiences, we can begin to find a greater sense of calm, contentment and peace within ourselves rather than relying on external circumstances to provide it.
As we become more present, we often notice improvements in many areas of life, including:
• Stress and anxiety
• Emotional wellbeing
• Relationships and communication
• Self awareness and self compassion
• Sleep and relaxation
• Confidence and resilience
• Enjoyment of everyday life
Being more present doesn't mean life becomes perfect. It means we learn to experience life more fully, respond rather than react, and spend less time waiting for happiness to arrive in the future.
What to Expect
Mindfulness sessions are practical, supportive and suitable for complete beginners as well as those with previous experience.
Together we'll explore simple mindfulness practices that can be integrated into everyday life, helping you develop greater awareness, presence and emotional wellbeing. Sessions may include guided mindfulness exercises, breathing techniques, reflection and discussion, all tailored to your individual needs and goals.
The aim isn't to stop your thoughts or empty your mind. It's to develop a different relationship with your thoughts so they have less power over how you feel and live your life.
Many people find that as they become more present, they feel more connected to themselves, their relationships and the things that matter most. Rather than constantly striving for the next thing, mindfulness helps us appreciate and fully experience the life we already have.
